I help small and mid-sized companies make their operations work: sourcing, planning, and the daily running that has outgrown spreadsheets and good intentions. Twenty years in supply chain, most of it in Sweden, now run from Bangalore where I also operate a business of my own.
Two things make my help specific. I work on the ground in both Sweden and India, so the trade between them is not theory to me. And I build AI operating systems that take over the repetitive parts of running a company, the same ones I use to run mine.
What I do
The core practice: supply chain and operations
- Sourcing and procurement: supplier strategy, category work, supplier-driven cost reduction, and the unglamorous job of knowing who actually stands behind your supplier.
- S&OP and planning: turning forecasts, inventory, and capacity into one process people actually follow.
- Operational efficiency: mapping the real flow of material, information, and decisions, then removing the handoffs where things get stuck.
Two things most supply chain people cannot offer
- India–Sweden sourcing and trade: finding, qualifying, and managing the link between the two countries, with someone who lives on the India side of it.
- AI operating systems: I run my own businesses on these before I build them for anyone else. Order processing, reporting, and the admin that lets a small team run like a larger one. Not a product; built to your operation.
Who this is for
- Swedish and Nordic SMEs with sourcing, supplier, or planning problems that have outgrown spreadsheets and good intentions.
- Companies sourcing from or selling into India that want someone who has done it, not just read about it.
- Owner-led businesses carrying operational admin that a system could handle instead of the next hire.
If you are a large company with a full procurement department, I am probably not your best option. I work best where the founder or the head of operations is in the room.
How we work
Most engagements start with a diagnostic.
- A diagnostic: usually a week or two, ending in a written view of what is actually going on and what I would do, something you can act on with or without me.
- A project: a defined piece of work with a start, an end, and a deliverable.
- Advisory: a standing arrangement where I am available for the operational and sourcing decisions as they come up.
- Board work: non-executive director or advisor. I hold a European Certified Director certification from Styrelseakademien and ecoDa.
Background
I would rather show than claim. The essays are how I think; the projects are what I build. Behind them: twenty years across Tetra Pak, TePe, Sony Ericsson, and MYSIGMA, an MSc in supply chain management from Chalmers, and a bakery in Bangalore that I run on the systems above.
From the people who ran operations alongside me:
“Proven skills in handling RFQ processes, cost breakdown analyses, and managing international supplier relationships, internally and externally. Dennis has done an excellent job and I would highly recommend him.”
Per Håkansson, who hired Dennis as a Strategic Buyer at Sony Ericsson
“Med ett stort engagemang, målmedvetenhet och intresse för att förstå både de analytiska detaljerna och den strategiska helheten var Dennis en tillgång i ledningsgruppen.”
With strong commitment, focus, and a grasp of both the analytical detail and the strategic whole, Dennis was an asset to the management group.
Johan Erlandsson, Plant Manager, TePe
“I was impressed with Dennis’s ability to tackle any situation with well grounded, fact based arguments and a collaborative approach. A true asset for any position requiring relationship management, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.”
Carina Berg, Commercial Component Manager, Tetra Pak
